There are many different tools available to format, make bootable and write files to USB flash drives. Making a flash drive bootable was not so easy before. Fortunately today we have a great little utility which runs on windows or linux and perform our subjected task in a snap. It is very easy and very quick.
I am talking about UnetBootin. It is a freeware application, only 4.4 MB for windows version and 4.0 MB for Linux version.
Usage is fairly simple for burning ISO image. Just choose the 2nd radio button labeled as “Disk Image” and then browse to the ISO image file via small “…” button.
After selecting the image file, choose the drive letter of your USB Flash drive at the bottom. Dont forget to plug in the flash drive before running the program. Then click ok to start the writing process.
